Wild diet: Generally feed almost exclusively on fish.

Feeding strategy: Fish communally - as many as 40 birds gather in a horseshoe and drive fish towards the shallows.

Species dietary differences: Great White Pelican requires approx.. 1.2kg of fish per day (10% of body weight)
